You’ve chosen a beautiful new floor covering – now all you need is the right underlay. It is the invisible foundation of your floor and plays a crucial role in its durability and your comfort. A good underlay can do more than just stabilise. It improves acoustics, provides pleasant warmth and compensates for unevenness in the substrate. This makes your floor not only durable, but also noticeably more comfortable. Finding the right underlay doesn’t have to be complicated. We’ll show you how to find the perfect solution for your floor with just three simple questions.

Question 1:
What type of flooring
are you installing?

The choice of your floor covering determines what your underlays must be capable of. That is why there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution. Laminate and wood flooring are considered hard floor coverings with load-distributing properties. This means that they require significantly less pressure stability than click vinyl floors, which are soft and flexible. For laminate and wood flooring, you should therefore choose an underlay from the SELITAC® series. For click vinyl floors, such as SPC, LVT and rigid, the SELITBLOC® underlay is the right choice.

Question 2:
What kind of substrate do you have?

The substrate is the second important question you need to ask yourself. If you have a mineral substrate, moisture protection is mandatory to protect your flooring system from residual moisture from the substrate. You can recognise our products with moisture protection by the in the product name. On wooden substrates, choose an underlay without moisture protection so that the wood can breathe and moisture damage and mould cannot occur.

What quality do you want?

Depending on your personal requirements, different quality levels are available. Our pro products offer you added performance – with improved thermal insulation, higher load capacity, effective sound insulation or optimal suitability for underfloor heating. The products in the eco series are made from renewable or bio-based raw materials or contain a particularly high proportion of recycled material. Products in the basic series provide a good foundation for the flooring system and offer reliable protection against damage. The products in the premium series are made from high-quality materials and offer the best possible performance.

The accessories in the SELITplus® series guarantee professional moisture protection, which is essential for mineral substrates. This is the only way to reliably protect floor coverings and skirting boards from moisture and damage. Our accessory products ensure the necessary moisture protection when underlays without integrated moisture protection film are used and protect the butt joints and the wall connection area.

The Easy’s for your underlays

Quickly installed

easy lay™ stands for our folding panel and is an extremely user-friendly product format. The long strips allow it to be laid across the entire width of the room without unnecessary joints. In addition, the panel lies flat and does not roll up again, as is the case with roll goods, for example.

Quick and secure connection

easy click™ is the intelligent connection system that makes it particularly easy and secure to join the underlay strips together. The precisely shaped edges interlock cleanly, ensuring a stable hold and reducing installation time.

Neatly cut

easy cut™ is our printed measuring grid contour. It serves as an integrated cutting aid, enabling precise cuts to be made without the need for an additional ruler. This saves time, reduces waste and makes installation much easier.

Perfectly glued

easy tape™ describes the tape integrated into the underlays, which allows the joints of the underlays to be bonded together more quickly. Bonding is essential for professional moisture protection on mineral substrates.
