SELIT checklist: What do I need for installation?
It can happen quickly that you start laying tiles and suddenly realise that you are missing an important tool. To prevent this from happening to you, here is a checklist of everything you need for the job, as well as some valuable tips for preparation and laying.
What you need
Folding rule / Tape measure
cutter knife
pencil
Tools for cutting the floor and skirting boards (e.g. cutting wedges, pull bar, jigsaw, crosscut saw, laminate cutter, tapping block, hammer)
What you need from the hardware store
Sufficient packages on usable floor space (approx. +10% room size)
Sufficient packages of underlays (approx. + 10% of room size)
For mineral substrates, use a vapor barrier or + product.

SELITstop® skirting board protection tape for standard-compliant moisture protection in wall connection areas on mineral substrates

Please note before installation
Is the subfloor level, clean, dry, resistant to tension and pressure, and free of substances such as plasticisers, solvents or other diffusing substances (CEN/TS 14472)?
Have you leveled all uneven spots larger than 4 mm?
Have you ensured that the substrate is at equilibrium moisture content and that the CM value is below 2.0% (for cement screed) or below 0.5% (for anhydrite screed and anhydrite flowing screed)?
Did you allow your flooring to acclimatize in the room according to the flooring manufacturer’s instructions?
