functional heating

« Back to Glossary Index

In functional heating, a hot water underfloor heating system is heated up to check that it is working properly. The residual moisture in the heated screed must then be determined. The limit values specified by the manufacturer of the floor covering must be observed. Only when these have been reached, for example by heating the floor covering, can the top floor covering be laid. Functional heating is the responsibility of the heating engineer.
