Matching accessories

Depending on the substrate on which the underlay is laid, suitable SELITplus® accessories are required. When laying impact sound insulation on mineral substrates such as cement screed or concrete, moisture protection is mandatory in order to protect against moisture damage from the substrate. This moisture protection can be provided by a combination underlay with integrated moisture protection film (our ‘+’ products) or by adding the appropriate SELITplus® accessories, consisting of moisture protection films and sealing tapes. No accessories are required for wooden substrates – only the aluminium tape can be used for temporary fixing of the underlays.

Essential accessories for mineral substrates

SELITplus® vapour barriers, in combination with SELITAC® and SELITBLOC® underlays without AquaStop™ technology, provide the necessary moisture protection for mineral substrates. SELITplus® moulding protection belt and SELITplus® aluminium tape ensure that joints and wall connections are properly sealed.

When laying underlays on mineral substrates such as cement screed, concrete or tiles, the right accessories play a crucial role in the functionality and durability of the floor structure. Edge insulation strips, for example, prevent thermal bridges and noise transmission at the edges of the room and compensate for the expansion of the underlay. A specially selected underlay with an integrated vapour barrier reliably protects the floor covering from moisture that can rise from mineral floors or penetrate through the building ground. In addition, adhesive tapes or seals ensure that the underlay strips remain permanently closed and no moisture can penetrate through the joints.
